With the aim of growing interest and participation in mountain biking, DMBinS works on several strategic projects all over Scotland.
In August 2023, the eyes of the world will be on Scotland as it hosts the biggest cycling event ever!
The first event of its kind, the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships is an 11-day event that will see amateur and elite riders from all over the world take part in 13 UCI World Championships in Glasgow and elsewhere throughout Scotland.
For mountain bikers, this includes Championships in cross country, downhill and marathon. An anticipated one million people will travel to Scotland to spectate and one billion eyes are anticipated to tune in around the globe!
The event organisers promise thrills and spills throughout this exciting event, or in their words:
"Champions will be crowned. Spectators will be wowed. Scotland will be inspired."
